Shawn’s journey has been profoundly shaped by the rich tapestry of Japanese culture during his university years. It instilled in him a deep appreciation for punctuality, respectfulness, and the art of harmonizing with others. Themes of humility, connection with nature, and spirituality have also woven themselves intricately into the fabric of his being. Meanwhile, he finds himself drawn to the Western ideals of freedom of speech, innovation, and heroism as well, and it is interesting to see the different impact of lifestyles.
Originally from a town in northern China, Shawn hails from a sprawling family network filled with numerous beloved aunts and uncles. Later, his path led him to Beijing, where he pursued his studies and career, subsequently navigating through various cities before settling in Singapore currently.
As the father of one lovely girl and little twin boys, Shawn embraces the joys and challenges of family life. Yet, he equally treasures moments of self-reflection and discovery. He enjoys activities like movies, badminton, tennis, swimming, and board games, relishing in the enjoyment they bring, even if he often finds himself on the losing side. 😊
