Professional Background

Sanjay spent about two decades in the merchant marine and similar duration in the corporate world, travelling around the globe. This provided him a fantastic opportunity to work and interact with individuals internationally. He became a captain after rising through the ranks, most working on tankers carrying dangerous and hazardous cargo. Currently in a leadership role, Sanjay is associated with the HSE division strategizing on matters of safety, mental health, and sustainability. He has a strong interest in realizing human potential, which is limitless. Sanjay recognises that humans perform majority of the tasks safely and effectively, albeit issues arise as result of various contributory factors such as organizational culture, designs, technology, procedures, and human error. Personal Philosophy

Live for a cause greater than oneself

In is the only way out.

There is much to be done, and the clock is ticking, which starts the moment we are born. Whilst much importance given to “time management,” managing one’s “energy” is even more important. Far too much energy is expended on non-issues, the past and imagining (fearing) what may transpire in the future. Be aware (conscious) and prevent draining energy.
