Professional Background

Rani has three decades of experience in the financial services industry with multinational, regional and local Indonesian firms. Before her early retirement in December 2023, she served as the Managing Director of the Operations Group at a leading private equity and venture capital firm headquartered in Singapore, managing over US$2.6 billion in committed capital. The leadership role provided her with extensive experience and exposure to various industries, organization and business dynamics as well as leadership talents.

Rani’s positive attitude and result-oriented approach, combined with her strong communication and people skills, made her a key relationship and culture builder within the organization. She is also passionate about women’s empowerment, ignited not only by her two daughters but also by her observation of women facing challenges in advancing their careers. Rani volunteers as a mentor for a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women leaders in Indonesia.

Rani currently serves as an independent board member for three companies, where she advises and supervises the management on policies and actions.

Personal Background

Rani was born, raised and spent most of her life in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a wife and mother of two grown daughters. As a working mom, Rani often worried about juggling her responsibilities between motherhood and work. Today, she takes pride in her accomplishment of successfully balancing family and work life.

Rani decided to take early retirement to spend more time with her loved ones and explore other areas of life. In addition to coaching, she fills her time by volunteering with several non-profit organizations focused on education and the environment, two causes that are dear to her.

Rani prefers reading over watching TV or movies. She also enjoys listening to music, whether live or recorded. During the pandemic, she discovered a passion for crochet, appreciating the meditative state it induces, similar to yoga, which she practices two to three times a week.

Her non-judgmental and outgoing nature, objectivity, sincerity, and empathetic listening skills make her a trusted advisor for her family, friends, and colleagues.
