Background

With more than 25 years in banking, ranging from the front office, middle office, and reporting functions – working across different geographies and cultures. Desmond offers unique perspectives to help people navigate and power up their performances through coaching.

Desmond has an in-depth understanding in asset-liability management specializing in funding, trading, and risk management. Accumulated over 18 years across developed (UK) and emerging markets (Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam). The experience from those markets and his keen interest in culture and languages enables him to relate and communicate across different nationalities and culture.

In his more recent role driving the CFO’s transformation agenda, he has gained experience both in business transformation and change management. This gives him practical experience in managing process change and innovation. It has further convicted him of the importance of managing mindsets and empowering people in the change process.

Desmond holds a Bachelor of Business(Banking & Finance) from Monash University and a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
