You’ll be surprised that many who join the training want the skills to be able to relate better with friends, family and work peers as a primary motivation. Graduates report during and after the program that important relationships improve, or they notice increased ease and effectiveness in sales and business conversations. These incidences evidence that their coaching works, and is usually what inspires them to consider coaching more seriously. These skills are life skills – that means you can always pick up the ‘coaching hat’ when you are ready.
Classroom face-to-face lessons: If you can’t make it physically, join via LIVE webinar for your training hours to count. All dates are given in advanced for you to book out those slots. If you foresee schedule clashes, raise it during your registration.
Mentoring & Supervision session: These dates are scheduled among your group members and with your mentor/supervisor.
You need to attend 60 hours of training minimally to graduate. However the full program experience involves a personal project of your choice, peer coaching and clocking of client hours. It averages out to about 5-6 hours per week. These components are important for you to graduate proud and confident of your coaching abilities.
Your trainer(s), your supervisor and your mentor, as well as your peers (who tend to become great friends after all that peer coaching!)
We’ve never met such cases before – usually people who want to train to become a coach come in with a strong resolve ready to rock ‘n’ roll. Where coach-trainees typically feel challenged is in clocking 100 coaching hours within the 6 months. It is not compulsory to finish all 100 hours in order to graduate – you graduate when you finish all 60 training hours. The 100 client hours is a bonus and a fast-track. If you are struggling in the program, talk to your trainer, mentor and/or supervisor. We will check the pace of the program and/or support you accordingly.
We provide quality, accredited ICF Coach training that is backed by years and thousands of hours of coaching, coach training, coach mentoring and running coaching businesses and projects. We impart the fundamental coaching concepts and skills, as well as honest and authentic advice and best practices. We share real client stories. We tell it ‘as it is’ – we can get brutally honest if it contributes to your learning/matches your learning style. We support, challenge, guide – we do not force. You will get personal attention frequently, as well as a customized learning experience alongside a semi-structured curriculum. The program is whole in itself – we do not up-sell components mid-way and compromise your learning. Your personal stories are protected by P&C agreements, and we will request your permission to share if it benefits others, or if it is part of our program review with the ICF. We are confident that we can turn you into a coach – it will take hard work, your time, an open mind and willingness to challenge and change yourself. Your results will be based on variables such as your level of effort, learning speed, people acumen, prior experiences, personal qualities, knowledge, skills and a host of other factors.
Yes, because our program is an accredited coach training program. You will receive a certificate of completion whether or not you pass your internal exam. The certificate will state the number of hours of certified coach training. This is NOT the ICF’s ACC/PCC certificate, which you will be awarded by the ICF directly upon meeting their ACC/PCC credentialing criteria. You will require our certificate to apply for your ACC/PCC with the ICF as proof that you have completed your ICF approved training hours.
Coach graduates have gone on to confidently run their own practice and start taking on paying clients. Others apply their newfound skill sets into their current roles at work. Graduates also report improvement in managing personal relationships and increased fulfillment. Many of them also end up better supporting their friends through ‘casual coaching’.
After graduation if you complete your training, mentoring and client hours, you can apply for your Accredited Coach Credentials (ACC) with the International Coach Federation.
You can continue your coach journey with us by becoming a supervisor, trainer or mentor with the PCDP.
The Accredited Coach Credentials (ACC) gives you international recognition as a coach who practices professional ethics and standards of coaching. It is issued by the ICF which is the world’s leading Coach certifying body. Find out more about the ACC here.
With the market becoming increasingly crowded, a recognized professional credential is becoming more expected of practicing coaches.
