Professional Background

I am currently a Director at BTS, a Swedish-based consulting firm, based in Singapore. We work with large local and global organisations in the private and public sector across Asia-Pacific to deliver leadership development programs. My projects range from facilitating a communications workshop for 30 leaders to designing and leading a regional Executive Director development program to project managing a global leadership development journey for 6,500 leaders in 33 countries, cascading from the executive team to front-line leaders.

My consulting career has spanned the last 10 years and my passion is to work closely with my clients to help their leaders do the best work of their lives – understanding their biggest challenges and roadblocks to success, then co-creating programs that help leaders discover the best way to execute strategy, innovate for the future and get the best from their people.

My previous roles include University Lecturer (Business Management) in the Middle East, helping establish a new university in Kuwait, a Business and Economics College Teacher in the UK and Hotel Manager. My operational experience plus educational background make me uniquely qualified to provide a broad-based understanding and appreciation of different stages of life and career development.

Personal Background

I have been living in Singapore for nearly two years, moving here after 5 years living in Australia. I grew up in a family that travelled the world for my father’s job and experienced different people and cultures that fascinated me as a child. After finishing school and university in Australia, I continued the nomadic lifestyle as an adult. I have been lucky enough to have lived and worked in Europe, Middle East, Australia and now South East Asia, exploring what is the same and what is different. I am fascinated by people and learning about what makes them different (not difficult!) and, as I’ve got older, how this translates into the workplace.

I am divorced and have no children of my own but have the pleasure of being a fun aunt and godmother – I love using Zoom to connect and encourage the kids to communicate, share and support each other even though we can’t be face-to-face. The past year has seen a very different way of life for me – no jumping on and off planes each week – and has given me the opportunity to rediscover some hobbies – painting, tennis and writing. I also enjoy catching up with friends over coffee or a meal and discovering all the marvellous sights and cuisines on offer in Singapore

Coaching Style

I want my coaching sessions to be honest and fruitful conversations; provide an opportunity to talk about what how you want to learn and grow and to discover what might be holding you back. I will be open-minded and interested, genuine and empathetic, honest and aspirational and supportive but challenging.

Personal Philosophy

My personal philosophy is that there is no such thing as a ‘difficult’ person, only a person who is ‘different’ to us. It is these differences that make it difficult for us to understand them, or see their point of view. Therefore, the more we work towards understanding, appreciating and accepting these differences, the better our relationships, and the happier we will be
