Sagar has 15 years of work experience in the financial markets, specifically in the highly demanding environment of bank trading floors. He currently heads a regional sales team at a global bank with ownership of relationships with some of the largest global/regional financial institutions in Asia.
Alongside his day-job, he has built a reputation for mentoring and coaching young talent coming through at banks. He is a big believer in scoping beyond tangible task-related skills and getting the “intangibles” (like effective communication, career navigation, emotional intelligence, goal-setting and self-belief) right.
His colleagues and clients also note his ability to calmly and confidently troubleshoot critical challenges, de-escalate relationship-critical situations and have tough conversations articulately. His knack for problem-solving has also seen him lead many change and optimisation projects over the years spanning sales, trading, HR and technology.
He brings with him deep insight in the realms of leadership, sales, communication, interpersonal relationship building, performance turnarounds, career building and productivity.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore, where he graduated with a Gold Medal in Management.

Sagar spent his early years in India before moving to Singapore on a government scholarship. Moving countries alone at a young age played a big part in shaping his outlook to life, his ability to adapt to change and his belief in backing himself in whatever he pursues.
His time outside of work is dominated with playtime with his 5yr old son. He also enjoys travelling with family – especially on road trips that allow for a closer exploration of landscapes and cultures. He also experiences weekly heartache over a football team that shall remain unnamed!
He also tremendously enjoys reading whatever catches his fancy and is actively trying to write more. He is currently finishing writing his book on cancer caregiving, inspired by his father’s losing battle with the disease.
His current personal challenge is to get fitter and sustainably improve his health-span.

“Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion.
Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.” ― Rumi
I strongly believe every individual can and should tap into the endless expanse of potential within themselves. Whatever those aspirations or goals may be and whatever change we seek – we can all make definite headway with the right mindset and the right support.
