Dedicated, open and empathetic – passionate about providing support & empowerment in a safe space for young professionals and the LGBT community to achieve their goals and live authentically with strength and resilience.
Phae is a qualified lawyer with over 10 years of experience. She also comes equipped with a degree in Psychology, and has always been intrigued by the functioning of the human mind, how we tick, and how the study of Psychology (and its subfields) can a tool to assist, support and empower others.
In the course of her legal career, she has amassed experience as a litigator in private practice and as in-house counsel in both MNCs and start-ups. She was sole legal counsel handling Singapore and Malaysia matters in a regional e-commerce start-up, and a legal advisor to one of the region’s most established and successful homegrown food & beverage/publishing & printing MNCs.
Her work includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with major brand name clients, as well as policy drafting and advisory on general corporate/commercial matters, data protection & privacy.
She is driven, energetic, adaptable and above all, resilient. She hopes to be able to marry the attributes gained in her professional experience, with her interest in Psychology through her work as a coach, and provide support & empowerment to others.

Phae would describe herself as an “Underdog Warrior”. Or to be precise, a non-binary presenting cisgender female one š
While she may not be the smartest or fastest in her field, if there’s one thing that she considers herself pretty good at – it would be standing up after a fall, and having resolute tenacity in the face of whatever challenge life throws her way.
Due to a family health crisis, she was suddenly thrust into the role of a sole caregiver to a sick parent at a young age, and had to take the reigns at her family’s law firm even while being a junior lawyer at the time. As an only child, she quickly found herself saddled with the pressure of managing said firm, dealing with numerous toxic individuals as well as grappling with her own grief and shock. This challenging period lasted for close to three years, during which she faced other challenges in her career and personal life. It did not help that she was already playing the game on ‘hard mode’ so to speak, with her non-binary presentation, coupled with the cutthroat nature of the legal profession.
There were many times where Phae felt close to giving up, but she reminded herself to take each day step by step, and on particularly difficult days, hour by hour. This was when she realized that change is constant, and it was crucial to cultivate resilience – the ability to bounce back in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Having survived (and eventually thrived!) from the foregoing, Phae deeply empathizes with the challenges encountered by young professionals, especially those who come from more marginalized backgrounds.

“When life gets overwhelming take it one day at a time. If that still doesn’t work, take it an hour at a time, a minute at a time – all will fall into place eventually.”
