25 years’ experience specialising in the field of Communication Skills training, including Public Speaking, Presentation Skills, Business Writing, and Negotiation Skills.
I have trained locally and overseas with C-suite clients from various industries including aerospace, finance, electronics, healthcare and public administration. This gives me an in-depth perspective of the needs senior managers and leaders and how I can help them achieve breakthrough results.
A memorable experience was when I trained a group of dynamic youth leaders from various top universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Presentation Skills. Yet another eye-opener was training high potential managers of a leading chaebol in S Korea in the art of coaching. What I have learned is that we all have potential and coaching can help us to reach our highest or optimum potential to achieve our hopes and dreams.
Life coaching, Executive Coaching, Personal coaching in Public Speaking and Presentation Skills (for events).
Having had thousands of learners attend my seminars these past 25 years, has provided me with intimate knowledge of what makes each of us tick, and how we can overcome our barriers to be the best version of ourselves. I have worked in various countries including Malaysia and Indonesia, Macau, South Korea (lived there too!) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I have also had the privilege to work with senior managers worldwide who use Singapore as their regional headquarters.
I enjoy food – making it, producing it (I am a certified beekeeper in Australia!) and of course, eating it! I experiment by cooking all kinds of cuisine like Mexican, Mediterranean, European, Chinese, Indian, Malay and also Peranakan since I am a Nyonya! That has also led me to become a museum docent at the Peranakan Museum. Knowing about my roots or cultural background helps me understand myself and those around me.
I also enjoy languages and can speak and/or read 5 – English, Mandarin, Malay, French and Korean! I would love to be fluent in one language other than English, though!
I also believe in keeping fit and have complete half-marathons and sprint triathlons before. Now I just do daily walks and work out at the gym or do exercises at home. Walking in nature is something I’ve learned to appreciate over the years as well!
I realise that a person is not just their job or their work, and a holistic approach to life and coaching would boost your performance. All the same, I realise that coaching is led by the client and it’s up to them to see how much of their life they want to share with the coach!
I believe in being open, as authentic as we can be and be kind – to ourselves and to others. This helps us reach our highest potential as human beings. When we reach our highest potential we are also able to give back to make the world a better place.
