With over 30 years of experience in the corporate world as a finance professional, I have worked across a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, retail, FMCG, property, construction, healthcare, and investment. As a CFO, I oversaw the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions.
Throughout my career, I have served as a trusted advisor and business partner to CEOs and senior leaders, providing valuable financial insights to support key management decisions and drive business performance. I take great pride in my achievements, particularly in turning loss-making businesses into profitable ventures.
What brings me immense joy and fulfillment is mentoring and coaching executives within the organizations I work with. I have a proven track record of transforming low-performing teams into high-performers. By elevating the team’s status, I have established them as sought-after business partners and advisors.
In addition to my current role as CFO, I also hold the position of an independent director in a public listed company. Furthermore, I dedicated four years as a non-executive board member in an NPO, providing guidance to enhance their finance, governance, and risk frameworks.
This combination of extensive finance expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for mentoring has shaped my career as a highly effective coach and mentor, helping individuals and teams achieve their full potential.
1. Career Clarity: I provide support to executives seeking clarity in their career (advancement, transition, retirement), helping them overcome career challenges, so that they can make a positive impact on their careers and workplace.
2. Mindset Shift and Empowerment: I love guiding individuals through transformative mindset shifts, empowering them with positive beliefs and a fresh perspective that drives their success.
3. Leadership Growth and Development: I am committed to nurturing leaders in corporate and nonprofit sectors to overcome leadership challenges, for them to achieve personal and professional growth.
4. Personal Development and Transformation: I am passionate about supporting individuals in their pursuit of personal development and transformational change, helping them improve their quality of life and achieve their goals.
At first glance, I may come across as serious, focused, and no-nonsense, particularly in the workplace. However, once you get to know me, you’ll discover a fun-loving, entertaining, dynamic, cheerful, and positive individual. Many of my colleagues find it surprising that I am a CFO, as I often embody the qualities of a salesperson.
Personal development and growth are values I strongly believe in. For the past 14 years, I have been an avid follower of Tony Robbins, admiring his coaching style and transformative impact on people’s lives. Witnessing his ability to create profound change has been mesmerizing. He serves as my role model, and I aspire to make a difference by helping people and transforming lives, just as he does.
One of my dreams is to travel the world in luxurious style. I love good adventure and exploring new places, which has fueled my love for travel. Whether it’s discovering unique destinations or immersing myself in different cultures, the joy of exploration truly resonates with me. In addition, spending quality time with great company over fine dining and wine brings me joy. I am passionate about creating “A-ha” moments for both myself and those around me. The sense of satisfaction, fulfillment, and contribution that comes from these moments is truly profound.
As a coach, I give honest and direct feedback, which provides valuable insights for personal growth. I have a genuine curiosity about the inner world of my clients, always seeking to understand their perspectives without judgment. My approach is rooted in compassion, creating a safe space for exploration and growth.
I ask thought-provoking questions that expand the mind and encourage deep reflection. Through this process, I empower my clients to uncover their own answers and gain new perspectives. Authenticity is at the core of my coaching style, as I believe in fostering a genuine and trustworthy connection with my clients.
My philosophy echoes the words of Marianne Williamson: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.”
I believe in embracing our unique brilliance and inner light, as playing small denies us and the world the impact we can make. Personal growth occurs through continuous improvement, effort, and learning, with each small step and challenge contributing to our journey of becoming a better version of ourselves.
