Kala Manickam graduated with a Master of Arts (Lifelong Learning) from University of London. Coupled with this qualification she had acquired thirty (30) years of working experience in the areas of Human Resource Management and Learning Development.

She is an Adult Educator for Seventeen (17) years and still on this path of profession, which is a calling for her where she strongly believe that her destiny is to tap on individual potential and to advocate self-change in individuals to experience the beauty of life.

Prior to which she had contributed both in Public and Private Sectors of the organizations. She evoke a positive self–response within individuals to analytically unfold their own uniqueness. Her passion is to connect with people in spiritual aspects.

Professional Background

Her continuous passion in developing people with a shift within oneself with confidence through meaningful learning and development led her to design, develop and facilitated programs such as emotional intelligence, coaching, communication and relationship management, and leadership. In addition, she has also provided advisory services as a specialised educator in projects such as for identifying service, technical and leadership skills gaps.

She has a special interest in workplace learning and was selected to attend a Workplace Learning Study Trip to Germany in 2018 which inspired her to the next lap to actualise the competencies of the workforce at work. She was appointed as Skills Mentor by Enterprise Singapore where she facilitated a holistic touch for the growing Small and Medium Enterprises to develop the unique selling proposition of the organisation and also had provided guidance and advisories in creating a workplace learning and performance culture. This experience deepen her inspiration with a vision to inculcate workplace learning and performance for a collaborative performance and healthy workforce within Organisations in Singapore.

Personal Background

Kala’ dad was a labourer in Port of Authority of Singapore and my mum was initially a housewife but due to financial difficulties she had to work as oil spillage cleaner to raise 5 children.
Her family background would resonate with many Singaporeans of the past. Her fundamental believe is that “we are connected as one as we share similar sentiments of the past, present and the future”. She believe that everyone is bestowed with a unique talent that compliments one another and thus journeys in this path of her career in educating and developing adults. She born and brought up in this home; which she calls Singapore where she embrace all races and religion as in oneness.
