My life purpose is to work towards a world that is conscious of the inseparable nature of climate, biodiversity and human flourishing. Anchored by that mission, I have taken on many roles in my colourful career.
I started as a producer of documentaries after graduating from journalism and film school before joining an international NGO to manage poverty alleviation programmes in Northwest China. There, I pioneered the use of monitoring and evaluation tools to inform programme strategy and design.
After a few years in the field, I took a step back to reflect on how change is created at a systemic level and that led me to pursue a Master in Public Policy at Harvard, where my focus was on business and government policies, and the role of leadership in generating value through powerful collaborations.
I’ve since made the transition to the private sector, where my current focus is on mobilising capital towards impact. As a private investor, I support companies that address our climate and biodiversity crisis through sustainable business models and technologies. I am also the co-founder of a non-profit in Singapore which trains investors and private bankers to more effectively deploy capital in a way that not only generates financial returns, but also pays social and environmental dividends.
Throughout my journey of self discovery, I have been led by my curiosity, self reflexivity and spirit of experimentation. I would like to offer my presence to journey with and to support you in your personal quest to integrate passion, profit and purpose.
I would love to help you discover and act in alignment with your values, both in your personal or professional life, so that you can unleash your potential to be a positive force in the lives of the people around you and by extension, the world.
Focus : Executive and Leadership Coaching, Career Transition/Elevation, Communicating for Impact.
I am basically a nerd. Learning new things excites me. At the moment, I am creating an edible garden in my front yard and learning how to transition to a plant-based diet. I picked up martial arts 5 years ago after watching Charlize Theron kick ass in Atomic Blonde. My favourite activity though is a little bit more quiet – I enjoy doing mindful walking (basically a meditative walk done in silence, usually in nature). In fact, I am learning to incorporate mindfulness into many more aspects of my life, so that I can slow down, pay attention and be present in every moment. The discipline of being present is a powerful practice which I hope to bring into my coaching – so that through that, I may create a safe space for honest exchange to happen and for true transformation to take place.
If you’re looking for someone open and honest, able to challenge and hold you accountable while walking alongside you on your journey of transformation, I am that person for you.
“Yesterday, I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
