Professional Background

My professional career and my personal life have revolved around the core areas of Education and Leadership Development.

In Education, I have had experience in developing our international relations strategy, policymaking, programming, and facilitating meaningful conversations (my personal favourite). Being an Educator has provided me with the unfettered access to meeting and calling out the potential of hundreds of people over the years. I have often marveled at how much people can transform in a short span of a year, if there was someone who cares and who believes in them.

Another core aspect of my work has been Leadership Development. I am a strong advocate that leadership is a dynamic topic whose lessons can only be learnt through hard fought experience, and coaching remains the best tool to help aspiring leaders step back and connect the dots of their experiences. I have extensive experience in designing and facilitating Leadership Development programmes, in my present role for 33 000 people at different levels, and am familiar with a variety of leadership and profiling tools.

Coaching Specialty

– Personal Development
I am now on a journey of climbing my second mountain in life and would love to journey with you are at a crossroad or struggling to find fulfilment in what you do.

– Leadership Development
I would be very keen to journey with you if the following resonates with you. First, the belief that a big part of leadership is the inner work of becoming more other-centred (“Leadership is not about me”). Second, the belief that everything can be traced back to the quality of leadership (“Leadership is all about me”).

Personal Background

My enduring interest is to create communities and cultures that make people braver to live more authentic and purposeful lives. It took me three decades of living the script that society handed to me before I arrived at conventional success, or the metaphorical mountain top, and found myself lacking and unfulfilled. I spend most of my waking hours at work holding space and facilitating powerful conversations where each one can slow down to think about who they really are, before they think about who they really want to be.

In my spare time, I spend time with my small family of 4 (wife, toddler, corgi).

Coaching Style

I believe in:
– That people’s experiences, no matter how similar, are not the same
– Meeting people where they are at this point in their lives
– Unconditional positive regard
– Being your biggest cheerleader, and if needed, your biggest kick out of complacency

Personal Philosophy

We live lives in thirds: the first third being told who we are, the second third discovering who we are, and the last third living out who we are.
