Christina has spent most of her career in the editorial field. With a love for the written word, she’s penned narrative from financial insights to corporate speeches and change-provoking thought leadership. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics and a curious mind, her journalism days began in one of the world’s largest business and financial news companies, filing breaking and market-moving stories as well as developing feature stories that informed and engaged audience from investors and traders to corporate leaders, politicians and regulators.
Over time, Christina moved into the world of project management and delivery of high-level discussion papers that positioned organisations and their people on key business issues. At the same time, she managed highly-matrixed environments, navigating internal and external stakeholder relationships, to provide intellectual capital to global events, such as the annual APEC CEO Summit, attended by over 1,000 delegates, including former US President Barack Obama, China President Xi Jinping, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, as well as global CEOs and Chairpersons from top businesses.
She has also managed project teams spanning several countries, cultures and nationalities.
Today, Christina leverages the power of words to shape personal and corporate branding identity. In all of that, she champions work-life harmony where she prioritises well-being and authentic living while ensuring commitment to career goals.
Born and raised in safe and comfortable Singapore, Christina has always yearned to learn more about the world that may be different from where she hails from. Work brought her to Beijing and Hong Kong, where she spent a good and enriching decade. Being thrown into new environments (and sometimes new companies / jobs at the same time) was about the best way to quickly learn about herself and pick up valuable survival skills. Christina believes that she couldn’t have done that without the support of good friends and colleagues she made along the way and of course her family and friends back home. It was also then that she learned the importance of work-life balance, and what passion truly meant to her. By focusing on prioritising her values, aspirations and well-being, Christina went from a manic workaholic to being at peace with her own pace and journey.
While she has since relocated back home, Christina’s love for off-the-beaten-track travels hasn’t waned off. Her next goal is to be able to explore more of the rest of the STANS in Central Asia. In her younger, more adventurous days, she enjoyed wakeboarding and had tried tandem skydiving. These have been replaced by boxing and strength training that keep her mentally and physically strong.
Today, Christina’s focus is on applying mindfulness and vigilance to her thoughts and actions, and enhancing clarity in her thinking process, to navigate the complexities of life while enjoying the process.
