Professional Background
Andy is a qualified actuary having over 20 years of experience in the life insurance / reinsurance field across different functions from Actuarial Management, Business Development, Consulting, Operations, Risk Management and General Management role. He also holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (Sydney, Australia)
Throughout his career, Andy has worked in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. This enabled him to have a pan-Asia wide experience in the life insurance market, allowing him to work with people from different cultural backgrounds.
One of Andy’s career highlights is when he was asked by his company to relocate to Singapore to build up our a newly established operation. During that time, he gained extensive experience in mentoring a team of young leaders to deliver growth for the operation. It is also during that time he started to enjoy coaching young leaders in the organisation, appreciating the power of enabling others to be their best version of themselves, making a lifelong impact to them.
His most recent assignment in the last 4 years was working with the India business unit during the very challenging time of COVID. This has given him the experience of working with a totally different culture, realising the importance of having clarity in the business strategy and need to ensure execution excellence in the organisation.

Personal Background
Andy was born in Hong Kong and then moved to Sydney Australia when he was 12 years old where he did his high school and university education. After that Andy worked in Australia for a few years before moving back to Hong Kong in 2006, and relocated to Singapore in 2016.
He is passionate about partnering young emerging leaders in organisations to help them navigate their work challenges. Being open minded, empathetic, and seeing the world from other’s perspective are his mantra when working with different people.
Andy is married, have a daughter and a toy-poodle!
He is an avid reader, podcast listeners and an Investment / FIRE (Financially Independent Retired Early) nerd. He loves listening to podcast about other people’s personal investment journey. Andy also loves running and have done 2 full marathons in Singapore since picking up the hobby during COVID. A 10km run in the morning gives him the energy pick up needed to get the day going.
