- Ser Kee is an experienced financial professional in the life insurance industry for over 25 years. Mostly in managing financial or actuarial financial functions in life insurance companies, covering product pricing, and also setting aside reserves to ensure the company is able to pay claims in the future, recommending investment strategy to match liabilities. Currently the convenor of the actuarial subcommittee of Singapore’s Life Insurance Association.
- Have head actuarial and finance functions of small, medium, large operations of MNC life insurance companies, the largest team is almost 70 staff. Also part of the greenfield team to set up the first international life insurer’s operation in Cambodia. Have lived and worked in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Germany, Cambodia, and have several Asia regional roles.
- Enjoy seeing people, especially actuaries I have worked with over the years in these places growing and progressing in their career and life. Great satisfaction seeing the new graduates hired in Cambodia now able to buy their own homes. Keen to promote financial literacy, and seeing people having a good and suitable financial plan.

Personal Background
- Ser Kee loves talking to people and hearing their life stories, especially a good conversation over a good meal. With her financial profession, she is often asked for advice over financial products and financial planning, which she enjoys helping to look into. She likes experiencing different cultures, traveling, and living in different places.
- She believes in giving back to the world community. Aside from helping people have inner peace, she believes in helping people in 3 key perspectives for those destitute, to have a roof over their head and food on the table, 2) next to provide education, and 3) next to provide work. As such, she has volunteered in teaching kids in Cambodia, Indonesia, etc., and provided advice to small businesses.
