Professional background


Riina has close to 18 years of working experience in executive education and FMCG industry. She is currently leading the Asia Pacific operations and business development in Aalto University Executive Education Ltd with full P&L responsibility on several markets in Asia.

She has proven track record of leading multicultural teams in an international environment both in Europe and in Asia, and developing customer-focused product portfolios to match growth strategies and targets in executive education and consumer goods industry. Extensive experience in leadership positions has gotten her very familiar with the joys and sorrows of top management team, leading change, and practises of human resource management with an international perspective to Europe and Asia.

In addition to her leadership position, she also teaches in Aalto EE’s executive programs on topics related to self-awareness, self-leadership and emotional intelligence. In Finland she has founded her own management consulting and coaching company, GRIT Partners, in 2016.

Due to her professional background, Riina easily relates to the challenges of the executive world and she empowers leaders to develop resilience and wellbeing in challenging times and situations. She thrives by helping individuals to make self-discoveries on what really matters in life and finding the reason for being, ‘ikigai’.

In her work she likes to combine her educational background on understanding the human biology through health and biosciences with the knowhow on the emotional intelligence and behaviors that research suggests will support the health and happiness.

Personal Background


Riina is originally from Finland, and she moved to Singapore with her dog over a year ago. Being a firm believer of relaxing and healing effects of mother nature, in her free-time Riina follows her passion for the mountains – all the pieces, whether they are related to work or life in general, have always fallen into the right places while climbing the slopes up and down in the stunning beauty and tranquility of the mountains.

Riina is passionate about continuous learning and renewal, and she strongly believes in personal responsibilty. She also believes that by bringing in a bit more compassion, gratitude and happiness into our daily lives will eventually make the world a better place.
