Grace delights in enabling others. A highly engaging and effective trainer, she has jumpstarted the learning journeys of more than 300 analysts and managers to gain insights from their data faster, more reliably, and flexibly using Microsoft Power BI. Her knack for simplifying complex technical concepts and delivering them in an interactive, personable, and fun way makes her a highly-rated instructor.
A huge fan of one of the world’s best airports, Grace started her career with Changi Airport Group. Her experiences include leasing and managing retail outlets, project-managing the development of the iconic Jewel Changi Airport, as well as strategising, forecasting, and analysing $2B of annual revenues.
Combining her flair for analytics and a belief that learning technical skills should be much more fun than watching paint dry, Grace then started her own training business that specialises in designing and delivering Power BI trainings that equip participants to hit the ground running. Organisations locally and regionally that have benefited from her quirky training approach include Changi Airport Group, Shell (Brunei), NetApp, Societe Generale, Singapore Post, and Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia.
Grace holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) (with highest distinction) with a second major in Operations Management from the Singapore Management University (SMU). She was also a Changi Airport Group scholar.
Grace is genuinely “kaypoh” (curious) about people and their personal stories. During a 360km solo cycling trip across Taiwan, her curiosity landed her in all sorts of situations as she traded stories — from peeling a bag of freshly harvested garlic with farmers, to being part of a set up crew for a traditional wedding, and even discussing how to set up a hostel in a conserved farmhouse.
To uncover one’s inner compass, Grace believes time and space must be made for exploration, discovery, and experimentation. What started as a sabbatical to figure out her career evolved to something more fundamental that improved her relationship with herself and her family. The transformation of these essential relationships then formed the bedrock which supported her tumultuous but successful transition from a corporate employee to a business owner.
Grace splits time between Singapore and Taiwan, and loves listening to podcasts. Adamant that you can teach an old dog new tricks, she recently picked up skateboarding to get fitter and become more comfortable with being out of control.
