• Elena is a passionate and inquisitive Marketing Leader who enjoys discovering and leveraging the cultural insights of each market to add value to the consumers’ experience and accelerate geographic expansion for her brands.
• She has 17-year experience on global leading FMCG brands, on strategic and operational roles, progressively growing in responsability in the same company where she started as an intern after graduating.
• Over this period, Elena has been working in Germany, Luxembourg, France, Italy and currently Singapore, where she oversees the marketing operations for the Asia Pacific region.
• Elena leads a large and diverse team that is based in 4 locations and includes 7 nationalities and 5 religions – well reflecting the rich cultural variety of the APAC region. Developing inclusive and cultural relevant brand communication is the key area of focus in her current role.
• Beyond her role as APAC Marketing Director and member of the Regional Board, Elena is engaged as a trainer in the corporate Marketing Academy and champions D&I initiatives as an active member of a dedicated taskforce.

Elena’s academic curriculum was centered in humanities, allowing her to fulfil her personal interest in foreign languages, cultures and literatures. On top of Italian (her mother tongue) and English, she can work, enjoy reading (mystery novels) and watch Netflix dramas in German, French and Spanish.
A lifelong learner, she recently undertook the study of the Japanese language as a new long-term challenge, aiming at passing the JLPT N2 exam in December 2021.

She used to be an indefatigable traveler, both for leisure and for business, with South Korea and Japan being her favorite destinations. Taking the opportunity of the current circumstances, her explorations have now taken a different turn and evolved into a more intimate and inbound journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
