Professional Background


  • Amos is currently a Director in IMDA. He is responsible for Organisational Learning and Leadership Development as well as Workplace Transformation and Facilities Management.
  • Amos began his career with the Republic of Singapore Navy where he spent a fulfilling 28 years in various appointments including commanding warships and staff appointments in training, HR and capability development. He has sailed across the Pacific dodging several tropical storms along the way. Through his roles in the RSN he mentored officers and men under his charge, developing their capabilities and potential. Amos was also a SAF Para-Counsellor.
  • Amos holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (1st Class) from the University of Tasmania as well as Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Science in Defence Technology and Systems from the National University of Singapore. Amos also holds a Certificate in Global Management from INSEAD.

Personal Background

  • Husband and father to two adorable daughters. Amos leisure pursuits include scuba diving, kayaking, cycling and golf.
