Program Overview

CCI’s Advanced Coach Development Program (ACD) is for coaches who wish to advance beyond the fundamentals taught in the PCD program. The program’s duration is nine (9) months consisting of in person weekend intensives and supervision sessions, webinar classroom sessions, peer coaching and self work components.

CCI’s ACD program’s training curriculum and materials are inline with ICF’s ACTP requirements. You will get to graduate from this Advanced Coach Development Program being able to coach in line with ICF’s PCC standards and competencies.

The ACD experience is …

Immersive: Eat, sleep, breathe coaching for 9 months, the same time it takes to conceive a baby, only what you’re creating is a coach-self that’s guaranteed to be different from who you are now.

Fun: You’ll be learning new things, never-heard-before insights into human behavior and how to influence change. You’ll get to work on yourself first and foremost as see how these lessons pan out in your life as you learn the skill to invoke it in others. Quality peers journey alongside you, you won’t feel lonely or like you’re falling behind.

Dedication: Advanced training requires the commitment and intent from everyone – students and faculty. We take in smaller cohorts, and mandate an entry-assessment, to ensure genuine learning attitudes. As ACD is very much about your own evolution, faculty pay close attention to your growth, challenges and learning pace.

Notes:

  • Participants should possess at least 60 hours of ICF-approved training and have preferably at least 50 hours of coaching experience.
  • The Advanced Coach Development (ACD) program (PCC level) is the advanced course within the Complete Coach Development (CCD) program offered by CCI. The ACD course can be taken on its own, or as part of the CCD program.

Topics Covered

  • 1. Profiling
  • 2. Emotions
  • 3. Relationships
  • 4. Stages of Evolution
  • 5. Lifework (“Career“) Coaching
  • 6. Techniques
  • Bonus #1. Executive Coaching Workshop
  • Bonus #2. PCC Markers Workshop
1. Profiling
  • Read people more accurately, predict behaviors, leans, preferred style of learning and most importantly, the kind of approach to take to cause a breakthrough in this person.
  • Covers profiling without the use of profiling tools, deep diving into reading mental, emotional, value preferences.

Importance:

  • Increases your coaching efficiency, the sooner and earlier you can accurately profile what works for your client. Clients choose you based on how well they feel you can identify with them.
  • Increases your personal E.Q. and self-awareness of biases, strengths and weaknesses in you as a Coach.
2. Emotions
  • Understanding the ‘language’ of emotions and how to transmute emotions a.k.a turn their energy into creative energy for solutioning.
  • Emotions is paired in hand with ‘mechanics’ – while mechanics apply to every human, emotions are the variable that determines your approach with each client.

Importance:

  • What distinguishes an ACC from a PCC and eventually an MCC? It is the use of a person’s whole being beyond their surface functioning and verbal expression.
  • Using, navigating and confronting the realm of emotional confidently sets you apart from ‘functional coaches’ that miss the point often because humans are fundamentally emotional beings.
3. Relationships
  • Powerfully navigate relationship dynamics and take on confidently coaching issues that deal with more than 1 person’s (your client) dynamics at play. Highly applicable in life and executive coaching.

Importance

  • Facing relationships can be daunting – conflict resolution, marriage issues, ever-changing workplace dynamics – are common challenges that plague everyone. Know what you’re doing as a Coach facing such situations.
4. Stages of Evolution
  • We introduce a proprietary model that reveals the mechanics to causing change in any area of life. This is a universal model and can be applied to anyone, in any situation and yet account for the individual’s level of openness to coaching and their pace of growth.

Importance

  • Knowing what the client needs in his/her next phase of growth helps
you pinpoint what they need to be able to successfully effect change,
    at their pace.
5. Lifework (“Career“) Coaching
  • Be able to tackle any career-related coaching case. This is not ‘resume or interview’ type coaching. Go deeper into understanding how
to coach careers at all levels of maturity, across employed / self-employed / facing crossroads/ retirement and any others.
  • You’ll be equipped with the larger picture in which careers sit within, allowing you to navigate cases relating to direction and fulfilment.

Importance:

True career success is not only about ‘getting into the right job’. If you see that a career is truly an expression of a person’s values, you’ll be able to empower clients at a deeper level instead of getting caught up in the ‘how’ of the job / business / role.

6. Techniques
  • Apply the key coaching competencies at a deeper level with ease. Learn how to access windows beyond your current listening level.
  • Elevate your skills to create a more professional, tight, seamless and sophisticated ‘change conversation’ with your clients.

Importance:

With techniques, it’s not figure-outable on your own unless you intend to take several years. Unfortunately, you compromise many sessions in the meantime. Techniques can only be shown by someone above your current level. Techniques are specific ‘how tos’ that get you where you need to bring the client, faster.

Bonus #1. Executive Coaching Workshop

Executive Coaching can get complex because of additional stakeholders involved in an engagement. Learn from an experienced executive coach how to design a professional corporate engagement and how to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve success.

Bonus #2. PCC Markers Workshop

Understand the ICF PCC-level coaching expectations, how to get there, and what
differentiates a PCC from an ACC. Insightful and deemed “very useful” by Alumni, go beyond just theory as your faculty provide direct feedback on where you stand against the PCC level competencies. There are 2 workshops scheduled to ensure your growth is tracked.

ACD challenges who I already am as a coach and as a person. It was an intensive journey and yet satisfying. It was deeply introspective, and yet liberating. It had help me to open up new avenues in my coaching approaches and lifted my overall experience when interacting with people as well.

Thank you to all faculty members who had used their expertise and their unique deliveries to challenge us to the next level of coaching! This is worth it!”

My decision to continue my learning as a professional coach with CCI taking part in the Advanced Coach Development Program was one my best decision for many reasons. Firstly, I have gained so much new insight about myself both as a person and as a coach. Secondly, the depth of the materials and advanced learning approaches, many interactions both F2F and Online with a smaller group of coaches on the path to our PCC, all with same intent, supported by best in class trainers, mentors and supervisors.

The ACD programs has not only helped me grow as a person, and at same time advanced me to a new level as a professional coach, is simply invaluable and has open many new doors that I would never have thought possible. Thank you CCI ACD Team!

PCD built in me the discipline of listening, ACD built in me the discipline of the ICF Core Competencies.
PCD taught me to ask effective questions, ACD taught me to ask effective and efficient questions.
PCD enabled me to hear and see the emotions, ACD enabled me to hear and see the unsaid.
PCD brought me to life coaching, ACD brought me to coach beyond life.
PCD made me a good coach, ACD made me a much better coach.

I had a great weekend! The Coaches were lovely. The best 2 days I’ve spent in a long time. One thing that I learnt was all the insights that I took away about Coaching, and that its easy to touch somebody’s life by just paying a bit more attention, and listening, and being there for them.
