Journeying with individuals and families has always been central to Darryl’s work in the social service sector. Her areas of specialization included supporting individuals in personal growth and development, parenting, rehabilitation from family and intimate partner violence, as well as support for multi-stressed families and interpersonal struggles. As each person might seek support at a different juncture in life, her work integrates both therapeutic and coaching modalities.
Darryl holds space for her clients to examine their inner world, explore deeply held values, motivations and dreams. She partners with clients to connect head and heart for great congruence and lasting change in their lives.
Beyond clinical practice, she is experienced in heading social service projects and leading teams in serving vulnerable communities. Having spent the better part of 20 years in the social service sector, she has grown to appreciate that the journey is just as important as the destination. This conviction has brought her on a meandering sojourn marked with multiple opportunities to create change.
Early in her career, she was responsible for developing, implementing and streamlining processes that improved service delivery and accountability, while concurrently overseeing programs spanning youth, rehabilitation, patient care and family work. More recently, she has spent six years in Family Service Centres, both in clinical and management roles.
Darryl holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Social Work) from the National University of Singapore, as well as a Masters in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy
